Title I, Part A
Title I, Part A is the largest federal program supporting elementary and secondary education. Title I provides additional resources to schools with economically disadvantaged students. These resources provide:
- Additional teachers
- Professional development
- Parent involvement activities
- Extra time for teaching
- Other activities designed to raise student achievement
Title I, Part C
The Migrant Education Program (MEP) supports transient students in reaching high academic achievement standards. A priority is to ensure that such students are appropriately placed when enrolled in a new school and that proper credits transfer. By addressing these needs, the goal is to improve dropout rates and ensure future success.
Can You Use Title I Funds for Reading Pen Resources?
Yes! The C-Pen Reader 2™, LingoPen™, and ReaderPen Secure™ all meet the requirements for Title 1 Part A, C, and D funds. Benefits include providing access to the curriculum and increasing engagement for these students. With no Wi-Fi required, accessibility barriers are removed. Our portable devices can replace or support a human reader for those who struggle too. Whether a student is in a unique program or relocating from state to state, our pens can help bridge literacy gaps.
Your school district may have Title I funding to support the purchase of Assistive Technologies for low-income, migrant, or institutionalized youth. Talk with your Assistive Technology Coordinator or support personnel about purchasing pens to help your students!
