Our Products
We have an extensive range of assistive learning technology, each packed with features catering to specific literary and educational needs.
Unlocking a World of Literacy
Books open the door to a world of knowledge and imagination, so it’s important everyone can enjoy the opportunities literature brings. For some however, such as those with dyslexia and other reading challenges, this may not be as easy, so they struggle to access what their local lending library has to offer. This is where we come in.

Aiding Independent Readers
Here at Scanning Pens, our goal is to be part of the solution. So, we have worked alongside several lending libraries throughout the United States to aid independent reading by introducing our ReaderPen™. Now, people within the neurodiverse community can simply go to a selected local lending library, borrow one of our pens, pick up a book and start discovering the love of reading.

The Assistive Technology Act
Lending libraries provide essential technology to help nurture people within the neurodiverse community when reading, so funding is important. In 2004, President Bush signed into law the Improving Access to Assistive Technology for Individuals with Disabilities Act. The goal of this act is to provide assistive technology to individuals with a range of disabilities, so they can participate in educational, and employment-based activities. This helps ensure there is enough continued funding for assistive technology throughout the U.S. Under this law, each of the U.S. states and territories receive a grant to fund an Assistive Technology Act Project (ATAP).
