It’s easy! All you need to do is get in touch with us and we can get the learning process started!

Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4

Step 1: Kickoff Meeting

Once you express interest, we’ll schedule a quick planning call with your team and our specialists to align goals and design a pilot that fits your students’ needs.

Together, we’ll:

  • Discuss your literacy and inclusion priorities
  • Identify the best-fit reading pen
  • Map out your implementation timeline
  • Coordinate shipping
  • Define success metrics and data collection

It’s fast, flexible, and completely free to start.

Step 2: Educator Training

Before your pilot begins, your team will get expert-led training to ensure everyone feels ready to use the pens effectively.

Training covers:

  • Key features and accessibility tools
  • What data will be collected
  • Integration strategies and interventions
  • Tips for engaging diverse learners

We’re here to make sure your educators feel supported and confident from the start.

Step 3: Data Collection

Near the end of your 60-day pilot, you’ll collect data on reading confidence and self-efficacy—with full support from us.

We provide:

  • Simple data collection templates
  • Mid-pilot check-ins
  • On-demand support

Get meaningful insights—without extra work for your team.

Step 4: Results & Review Meeting

At the end of your pilot, we’ll host a review session to highlight results, share success stories, and explore next steps.

We’ll cover:

  • Pilot data and feedback
  • Student and teacher experiences
  • Options for continued use and pricing

Whether you continue using the pens, or return them (just cover return shipping), you’ll leave with valuable insights and a clearer path to literacy success.

What the Scanning Squad say...

“Getting help is hard sometimes. The pen helps me do my work without needing to ask for help. I really like it. Other students don’t even know I have it. My teachers, who know I have it, encourage me to use it.”

Jorge Fuentes Rios,
11th Grade Student in Texas

“Before using the pen, it was hard because I would have to ask my teacher how to say a word. It is easier with the pen because I don't have to ask my teacher anymore.”

Quinn,
5th Grade Student, California

“Watching the confidence that appeared in my student immediately after learning how to use the reading pen melted my heart. I have watched this student struggle for years and now he is completing 90% of his work on his own using the pen! In this short amount of time, it has changed his life!”

Erica Clason,
Intervention Specialist in Ohio
