Alternative U.S Funding Options
Part of our mission at Scanning Pens is to support those who most need it with our assistive technology, regardless of circumstance, in many instances, we anticipate that there are those who could greatly benefit from our support who are unable to access it.
We also know that things are economically difficult for many people at the moment, from individuals and families to their schools and colleges.
For these reasons, we feel a duty to try and link our community to sources of funding where possible. This could be general philanthropic sources, fund-raising, donorship campaigns or other ways to fund you may find useful: for our tailored suggestions, check out the links below.
Calibri
Calibri Foundation is a U.S-based charitable foundation who are committed to grantmaking in education.
They acknowledge that often worthwhile school projects or improvements have the man hours and the willing to get off the ground, but not the funding or the resource.

We would suggest exploring their webpage and online application form if you would like to explore applying.
We’ve also put together a guide in the interest of best practice, in regards to how to shape your project, explain your thinking, and best make your case for funding.
We cannot guarantee any kind of likelihood for success, but would hope that this resource helps first-time grant writers be more confident.
